No less than four foldable smartphones were officially launched this week: Motorola RAZR 2022 , Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 , Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4. All are premium phones with prices to match.
The demand for this type of product is growing, and the technology behind it is slowly, slowly moving towards maturity. This translates into lower production costs, fewer problems and easier repairs. Samsung even estimates that by 2025 the foldable Galaxy Z series will surpass the premium Galaxy S series in sales.

Even though we were skeptical of this technology at first, it seems that it will be successful. Under these conditions, other manufacturers are also preparing similar devices, the next on the list could even be OnePlus.

The company's CEO, Pete Lau, posted a short teaser on his Twitter page just a few hours ago of what we believe to be a small part of the upcoming OnePlus Fold. Pete Lau posted two photos of the hinge of a foldable smartphone and asked his followers if they knew what that mechanism was.

What we learn important from this post is that the OnePlus Fold will be a foldable with a book-style closure and not a clamshell phone.

We do not know more details about the first foldable OnePlus smartphone, current sources indicate a possible launch in the first part of next year.
