At the Kerala press meet in Viruman, Karthi confirmed that Kaithi 2 is definitely on the way and will be Lokesh Kanagaraj's next film after he completes his film with Thalapathy Vijay. With Lokesh set to start shooting for Thalapathy67 by the end of the year, Karthi is confident that Kaithi 2 will hit the market by the end of next year.
Karthi's Viruman brought the actor to the big screen after some time and was released on 12th August. Directed by Muthaih, the film is a rural family drama that marks the debut of Shankar's daughter Aditi.
