Slowly but surely, the foldable smartphone market is growing and Samsung seems to be the authoritative leader (in recent weeks I read that the South Korean manufacturer has around 80% market share in this niche).

Samsung will launch new generations on August 10, and here I mean the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4.
Until then, we even know from Samsung that more than 10 million foldable smartphones sold worldwide in 2021. If we rely on the percentage of 80% of the market share, it remains to know that the South Korean manufacturer sold somewhere around 8 million units, mainly of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 models.

And if we talk about the two models, Samsung confirmed that 70% of buyers prefer the clamshell model (Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3) and only 30% choose the more complex version (Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3). However, I think that these percentages are also affected by the prices, the differences between them are big.
