A fire broke out at Dipak Nitrite Company in Nandesari GIDC, Vadodara . However, four teams of fire brigade reached the spot on learning of the incident. The Nandeshari Fire Brigade and Vadodara Fire Brigade were called in to help in the blaze.
The fire broke out at Deepak Nitrate Company this afternoon. However, the exact cause of the fire is not yet known. But the blast was so huge that an area of two kilometers was roared and an explosion was heard in an area of 10 kilometers. A second blast was heard shortly after the blast.
Upon learning of the incident, four teams of fire brigade reached the spot. Efforts are being made by Deepak Nitrate Company and other nearby companies to douse the fire. Meanwhile, 4 teams of fire brigade of Vadodara Municipal Corporation reached the spot and tried to control the fire. However, with the explosion in the company, smoke billowed from the fire.
At 8 pm, more than 10 fire engines started putting out the fire. The district collector and senior police officials rushed to the spot. Meanwhile, local leaders and workers of the surrounding company were also rushed.
